The Panthers are looking forward to participating in the Sacramento Kick-Off Tournament (KOT)!
Panthers will join Liberty players and hopefully other clubs from Washington for a week-end in Sacramento. Read below what the organizers are saying about the tournament:
- The largest Youth & High School Rugby Tournament in the Western Hemisphere offers your club, your squad, as well as its coaches and supporting parents, a unique opportunity for pre-season development.
- Highly organized, well run, with large Vendor Village and volunteer staff of Field Marshalls.
- The KOT presents us with a unique opportunity for Referee Development. Rugby NorCal. partners with the NCRRS to attract a large concentration of Referee Coaches and referees to a FREE Friday training session, and to stay for two days of intense efforts. All meals are covered for attending refs. All clubs should please encourage their developing refs to attend.
- Many top match officials (Refs) from across the Western US are flying to support our efforts.
- (3) 30 minutes matches guaranteed for all attending sides, each day of play
- A chance to compete against the best sides from Jesuit High, and across the Sacramento Valley
- A chance for local clubs to compete against sides visiting from out-of-state clubs, with at least sides from OR & WA confirmed at the present time!
- Expanding Girls, Middle School, U12 and U10 play
- Boys Varsity and JV offered both Saturday and Sunday
- Every effort will be made to minimize facing in-season rivals, with competitions and playing schedules to be set one week in advance of the event
